We get a lot of questions when it comes to Palo Santo and Red Dragons Blood Sage.
Here is a breakdown of why these two are great for your cleaning practice.
Dragon’s Blood
Provides protection, negativity clearing, and productivity. Dragon’s blood is a dark red resin from the rattan palm tree. Southeast Asia is its native origin, and it’s used for treating wounds and healing intestinal disorders. It can be burned to enhance productivity and is therefore great to use in your office space. This resin creates a lovely “mood” in the atmosphere while emitting a heavenly fragrance.
Palo Santo
Palo santo literally means "holy wood" in Spanish. Traditionally, palo santo has been used by Amazonian shamans in sacred rituals, dating all the way back to the Incas. Smudging with palo santo is said to bring blessings to space, eradicating negative energy and chasing away evil spirits. It can be substituted in any instance that you would usually use white sage, as their properties are fairly similar. Both white sage and palo santo "wipe the slate clean," opening the way for positive energy to enter where there was once negativity.
First, you would open your window and burn the red sage. If you burning them be sure to do it separately. I have witnessed personally after bad energy has left my space. My red Dragon Sage burned all the way out. I didn't stop it and the next day I tried again but this time it wouldn't stay burning. At this moment I realized when the energy is heavy LET IT BURN. If not then let it burn as it should. Once you do this be sure to wait about an hour or two. Or when you are in a chilled relaxed space to burn the Palo Santo.
